Alden is a highly sought after guitarist, songwriter and teacher. Alden’s skill in the genres of rock, pop, RnB, reggae and gospel make him a highly sought after guitarist for recording projects, performances and instruction. Since moving to Phoenix in 2001, Alden has kept busy teaching private lessons, touring, recording and performing in clubs, venues and churches.
Alden’s teaching schedule keeps him busy with over thirty private students per week, all at various levels of experience. Alden loves teaching beginners the basics as much as giving pointers to experienced players. Alden helps novices improve their abilities, advanced players develop their own sound, church musicians gain the skills they need for worship, and songwriters polish their compositions. But most importantly, he helps students of all styles, ages and abilities develop a deeper love for making music.
Alden has shared the stage with some of the world’s top recording artists. As a member of the Mighty 602 Band, Alden has performed at festivals and large concerts all over the country. He has opened for national acts such as The Indigo Girls, The Wailers and Ziggy Marley. He has also performed at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, The Native American Inaugural Ball, Colorado’s Rhythm on the River and Arizona’s Reggae Spring Fest.
On Sunday morning, Alden can be heard leading worship at Roosevelt Community Church in downtown Phoenix. Alden mixes a variety of genres to sing praise to God. A typical Sunday may include hymns, contemporary praise choruses, gospel and even hip-hop. Alden is also active in outreach ministries in South Phoenix and missionary work in Kenya.
